After more than 50 years of effort, Lennie and Kitty Triboli have been celebrated with the naming of a park in West Sacramento in their honor. The city acquired the lot in 2020 and has since made significant improvements, including plantings and the installation of an irrigation system.
Lennie Triboli, now 88, reflected on how his commitment began as a student when he decided to clean up the lot, despite his father’s warnings of the ongoing job. Alongside his wife Kitty, they transformed what was once an eyesore into a community asset, leading to the park now known as Lennie & Kitty Triboli Park. The couple has continually worked on the space, supported recently by a $20,000 donation from West Sac Play to enhance the park further.
