Entrepreneurs, small-business owners, and high school students in Sacramento can now apply for various training and mentorship programs aimed at enhancing their business skills, launching new initiatives, and expanding existing ventures. These opportunities stem from two organizations funded through the City of Sacramento’s 2026 Innovation Grant Program, which allocated $1 million to 17 different entities earlier this year.
The programs include offerings such as business accelerators, entrepreneurship education, and personalized advising, with free services and scholarships available to qualified applicants. According to Development Project Manager Michael Young, having professional guidance can be pivotal for entrepreneurs in their journey to succeed, thereby contributing to job creation and a healthy economy in Sacramento.
Among the current offerings is the EO Accelerator for business founders, a program by Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) Sacramento that supports owners of businesses with annual revenues between $250,000 and $1 million. Additionally, Growth Factory Nonprofit provides several free programs including the Atlas entrepreneurship program for high school students, and the Build Up Sacramento accelerator for small business owners, all designed to foster growth and innovation.
