Car Crashes into Dutch Bros in Fair Oaks, Closing Coffee Shop

A Dutch Bros coffee shop in Fair Oaks was shut down Thursday following a car crash that occurred around 2:30 a.m. Officials reported that the driver lost control, initially hitting a fire hydrant before colliding with the building located at Madison Avenue and Kenneth Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, there is a suspicion that the driver may have been under the influence at the time of the incident. Employees arriving for their shifts learned from their manager that the shop would remain closed due to the exterior and interior damage, which included scattered cups and straws on the floor, and an espresso machine that was nearly knocked off the counter. Additionally, a water line was reported to be damaged.
