Early Voting Centers Open in Sacramento Ahead of Election Day

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Early voting centers across Sacramento County have opened their doors for residents eager to participate before Election Day on Tuesday. Eben Burgoon, an election inspector in Sacramento County, noted the flexibility offered at these centers. “At the vote center you can vote in person, get reissued a ballot — let’s say your dog ate your homework, you’re able to get a reissued ballot — you can drop off your mail-in ballot or even use that to vote in-person,” he explained.

Burgoon highlighted the positive atmosphere he’s observed, stating, “We’ve had really great energy already,” and indicated that many voters have conveyed their excitement and sense of the election’s significance. The vote centers, which began operations 10 days prior to Election Day due to the Voter’s Choice Act, will also see additional locations available for early voting starting Saturday, allowing even more opportunities for residents to ensure their voices are heard.
