The city of Sacramento is offering almost $1.5 million in grant funding to local community organizations dedicated to violence prevention and connecting at-risk youth and young adults to valuable services and opportunities. This funding is made available through two distinct grant programs managed by the Sacramento Police Department’s Office of Violence Prevention (OVP) for the fiscal year 2026-27.
Dr. Nicole Clavo, OVP Manager, emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts: “Preventing violence requires strong partnerships with the organizations that know our communities and work directly with young people every day.” The funds will support initiatives aimed at reducing community violence, fostering partnerships, and generating constructive opportunities for youth. Qualified nonprofit organizations may apply by November 3 at 11:59 p.m. to access these resources.
