Sacramento County plans action after complaints about Walnut Grove sideshows

WALNUT GROVE, Calif. — A property owner in Walnut Grove has taken to placing semi-trailers in front of his location to deter attendees of car sideshows happening nearby, which have been drawing crowds and causing safety issues. Sacramento County intends to issue a notice of violation for the site located at 14450 Walnut Grove-Thornton Road and will refer this matter to the district attorney’s office, as stated by county spokesperson Ken Casparis.

Ron Galindo, the property owner affected by the influx of cars—reportedly over 200—expressed concerns about access blockage to his storage yard and the potential for accidents. Tensions have also risen among neighbors due to noise, trash, and smoke from tire burning. Videos taken during these events have revealed alarming conditions, including a truck on fire. Although an upcoming event was advertised online, it remains unclear if the organizers have the necessary permits.
