Italian restaurant Tre Pazzi Trattoria to close after nearly 17 years in Auburn

Tre Pazzi Trattoria, a beloved Italian restaurant in Auburn’s Central Square, will close its doors on December 31 after nearly 17 years of operation. The decision comes after the restaurant’s landlord chose not to renew its lease at the historic Kreuzberger Building, as stated in a Facebook post by the restaurant’s operators.

Gary Capps, who has owned Tre Pazzi since its inception in 2010, expressed heartfelt sentiments in the post, noting the strong connection with the community. The restaurant, known for its rustic charm and Italian cuisine, has been a gathering place for families and friends, celebrating special moments together. As the place where families have created lasting memories, Capps acknowledged the loyal customer base that has formed over the years, stating, ‘That is something we will never take for granted.’
